Day 1 – Fly from London Heathrow to Sydney aboard scheduled Qantas flights. Optional upgrades are available to the dedicated Premium Ecomomy cabin or Business Class fully flat Skybeds as well as use of the Business Class lounge. Enjoy the journey.

Day 3 – Arrive in Sydney for a sumptuous stay at the five star Intercontinental Hotel. This iconic building holds prime position on the edge of the famous Circular Quay, close to the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and vibrant Rock area. Relax or explore the city at your own pace. You can take a dinner cruise around Sydney Harbour, tour the famous Opera House or book tickets to a performance there. Or travel further afield for a day in the beautiful World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley wine region.

Day 8 – Leave the bright lights of Sydney behind as you fly north to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef region. You will be picked up from the airport and whisked away to a world of tropical rainforests, golden beaches and Queensland’s relaxed yet professional hospitality.

Delightful Thala Beach is a secluded rainforest resort close to fashionable Port Douglas. Here you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views from the guest lounge, gaze at the Southern night sky and the Milky Way from the Lodge’s observatory, hike through the surrounding rainforest or relax on the private beach. There are also regular transfers into Port Douglas where you can shop at the many boutiques and galleries, dine at the fine restaurants or embark on a Great Barrier Reef cruise from the picturesque marina.

If you are not one for lazing round the pool, Thala Beach’s tour desk will be pleased to arrange day trips to the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest, the stunning Atherton Tablelands and a host of other activities and excursions.

Day 13 – You will be transferred back to Cairns for your return Qantas flight to London.
